If you are new to raising goats, please keep in mind that they require adequate fenced-in grazing space, some type of shelter from the elements, plenty of fresh water, and regular feedings to supplement their basic diet of grasses and forage.

We feed our goats a high protein 'sweet feed', which is a mixture of grains, corn, alfalfa, and molasses. We also strongly suggest providing them with a 'mineral lick' block to assure they receive all of the nutrients and minerals required for good health. Usually sweet feed is labeled for horses and mineral blocks are labeled for cows, but both are perfectly acceptable for goats as well. Check with your local feed store.
